Local residents may have noticed extra sheriff’s deputy vehicles riding in Natchez lately.

That’s because the Mississippi Deputy Sheriff’s Association held it’s annual conference this week at the Ramada Inn Hilltop in Natchez.

About 60 deputy sheriff’s from across the state attending the meeting to conduct regular business and attend training seminars.

&uot;They’ve had a good conference,&uot; said Adams County Sheriff Tommy Ferrell, who welcomed the association to Natchez Monday.

The association concluded its conference Thursday night. It meets in a different county each year and has not met in Natchez since 1995.
