An eight-year old Natchez resident was being treated in Jackson Wednesday after nearly drowning in the pool at the Isle of Capri hotel earlier this week.

Andrea Phipps, was in critical but stable condition Wednesday at the University Medical Center said a spokesperson for the family

The incident took place at about 8:46 p.m. Monday, said Natchez Police Chief Willie Huff.

&uot;All I know is some people saw her at the bottom of the pool,&uot; said Natchez Police Chief Willie Huff.

They pulled her out of the water and gave her CPR waiting for help to arrive, he said.
