FERRIDAY, La. – A Ferriday man was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of molesting a 2-year-old girl, according to Ferriday police.

Willie M. Brooks, 39, of 611 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Ferriday, on charges of molestation of an infant and unauthorized use of a movable.

As of Thursday night, his bond had not yet been set, and he was transferred to Concordia Parish Correctional Facility I.

The charges were filed after the girl told her grandmother about the alleged incident, said Assistant Police Chief Steve Cockerham. The girl’s name is not being released because she is a juvenile.
