The Natchez Democrat
Vidalia Vikings head coach Dee Faircloth will have to wait
another week to get win No. 200.
The Vikings fell to Rayville Saturday night 28-12 on a rain-soaked
field, leaving Faircloth stuck at No. 199.
&uot;It wasn’t much of a game,&uot; Faircloth said. &uot;It
was two teams that didn’t want to win.&uot;
Vidalia also lost its District 3-2A opener, as it fell to 4-2
on the season.
The Vikings host Reuben McCall next Friday at 7 p.m.
Faircloth said his team just got beat Friday night.
But he wasn’t happy that the loss came to a below-average Rayville
team, he said.
&uot;We didn’t tackle, block and we got whipped,&uot; Faircloth
said. &uot;Rayville – they’re not going to make the cover of
Sports Illustrated. We were two touchdowns poorer than they were.&uot;
