Both of Jefferson County High School’s varsity basketball

teams fell to South Pike Tuesday night at South Pike.

The Tigers (1-2) fell to South Pike 76-66. Kelvin&160;McCoy

led South Pike with 25 points. Delvin Thompson led Jefferson County

with 22 points and Londell Eanochs added 15 points.

The Lady Tigers (1-2) were routed by South Pike 91-56. South

Pike outscored the Lady Tigers 22-7 in the first quarter and 32-13

in the fourth quarter.

South Pike was led by Tiffany Aych with 22 points. Shaterrica

Hall had 19 points and eight assists and Veronica Smith added

18 points and 10 rebounds.

Jefferson County begins district play at Wilkinson County this

Friday with a three-game set beginning at 5 p.m.
