Aldermen to discuss assisted living complex

NATCHEZ – Items to be discussed by Natchez aldermen in today’s
meetings will include a developer’s interest in building an assisted
living complex in Natchez.
They will also discuss final acceptance of erosion control
work on Duster Drive, installation of streetlights at Roth Hill
and execution of an architect’s contract for improvements to the
Sunshine Shelter.
The Board of Aldermen is also expected to set an appeal hearing
for 11 a.m. Dec. 11 for Willie Knowles. He was denied a variance
by the Zoning Board to operate a lounge at 927 1/2 Martin Luther
King Jr. St.
The Board of Aldermen’s Finance Committee will meet at 4:30
p.m. today, with the board’s regular meeting following at 6 p.m.
Both meetings, which are held at the council chambers on Pearl
Street, are open to the public.
