MEADVILLE – A McComb woman was arrested Saturday just minutes after she allegedly robbed a Meadville drug store at gunpoint and escaped with an unknown amount of the painkiller OxyContin.
Audrey Carol Stanford, 35, of 1041 Eastover Lane in McComb, is being held at the Franklin County Jail on a charge of armed robbery.
No bond will be set until Stanford’s initial court appearance today, said Franklin County Sheriff James Newman.
Following the Saturday afternoon robbery, Stanford allegedly fled on foot from the drug store.
But since it is just a few blocks from the Sheriff’s Office, two deputies arrived at the scene almost immediately and arrested her, Newman said.
