FERRIDAY — Ferriday High juniors Brennan Smith, Akeem Evans and Tyrrence Taylor were recently named to the Louisiana High School Athletics Association’s Class 2A All-State second team.

Smith rushed for 2,201 yards during the 2001 season. Taylor, who was also named as an honorable mention at quarterback, had nine interceptions of defense, with one runback for a touchdown. Evans had a team-high 150 tackles, 88 of which were solos stops.

Ferriday junior Kenzeric Hollins was named an honorable mention. Hollins had 124 tackles, 74 of those solos, and had one interception which he returned for a touchdown.
