DALLAS – Natchez native Eric Rice will soon leave his girls basketball coaching job at Trinity Christian School to become a coach in the Global Basketball Association.
Rice, who attended and played basketball at North Natchez High School before graduating there in 1989, will leave in a couple of months. League play in the GBA starts in February and goes through June. The league’s playoffs are in July.
&uot;The only thing I’m not sure of is where I’ll be coaching,&uot; Rice said.
Rice is a finalist for the coaching job in Tampa, Fla., and Savannah, Ga.
&uot;My agent, John Jordan, told me whoever put the most money on the table will be where I’m going,&uot; he said. &uot;He (Jordan is tremendous). He’s a good agent.&uot;
