Tigers win big, while McKnight’s group falls

FAYETTE – Try as they might, Flora McKnight’s Jefferson County Lady Tigers just can’t seem to stay on the winning track. Tuesday night continued a trend that saw McKnight’s squad lose another close one, as they fell at home to the Hazelhurst Lady Indians, 68-65.

The Lady Tigers, who dropped to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in division play, held a slim five-point lead at the half, but the Lady Indians shot themselves into a tie ball game after three quarters. Victoria Richardson fueled the road win going for 25 points.
