FERRIDAY, La. &045; The Rev. Justin Conner said he is not the spokesman for a Ferriday man who claims he he decided to run for president after he killed a snake in a neighbor’s yard.

In fact, Conner said he doesn’t know why Freddie Quinn used his name recently in telling the story of his desire to run for office.

Conner, who was not contacted for a Saturday Democrat story about Quinn’s alleged campaign, said he was upset by the implication he was involved in the campaign.

Although Conner said he knew Quinn while they were growing up, Conner &045; who is pastor to four congregations &045; said he

didn’t know the unusual story Quinn tells. Quinn had claimed that Conner, who is also a justice of the peace, was his spokesman.
