Natchez swimming places third

Hattiesburg &045; With six participants battling flu-like symptoms and unable to make the trip, Natchez Swimming Association coach Tammy Whittington brought a depleted staff

to the Hubfins Super Weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

Yet even with 10 swimmers, NSA managed to finished third overall &045; with the host Hubfins capturing top honors at the event &045; and had some impressive individual performances.

Aubrey Timm, 6, obtained high point honors in the 6-and-under girls’ division, as she placed first in all five of her events &045; the 25- and 50-meter free, the 25- and 50-meter backstroke and the 25-meter butterfly.

Rudy Timm, 7, placed in 11 events, finishing first in five &045; the 25- and 50-meter backstroke, the 50- and 100-freestyle and the 25-meter butterfly &045; on his way to securing high point distinctions in the 8-and-under boys’ division.

Jack Daly, 6, claimed three first place triumphs of his own in three 25-meter events &045; freestyle, backstroke and butterfly. His hat trick, along with a second-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle relay placed him as the high points’ runner-up in the 6-and-under boys’ division.
