JONESVILLE, La. &045; Things are sure rolling in the right direction over in Catahoula Parish.

The Block Lady Bears posted their second playoff win and put themselves a game away from the Sweet 16 with a 63-53 win over East Beauregard Monday night.

The win puts the Lady Bears hosting Plain Dealing on Thursday. Plain Dealing put away Mangham Monday to advance.

Block jumped out to a 22-8 lead by the end of the first quarter and withstood a 20-17 Lady Trojan run in the second that trimmed their lead to 39-28 at half.

EB held an 11-10 edge in the third to put the lead at 49-39 heading into the fourth quarter, but both teams scored 24 points.

Dani McMillian led Block with 31 points, while Catessa Branch had 24.

Leigh Farmer led East Beauregard with 16.
