Especially in today’s hard economic times, Blaney said, &uot;Coming up with a half a million dollars more than the towns are already getting (for mosquito control) is going to be tough.&uot;

The board would be made up of one member from each of the parish’s four towns and one at-large member. Jury President Rodney Smith said jurors will appoint members to the board at an upcoming jury meeting.

White will now present the idea to the boards of the parish’s towns for their approval, said jury Secretary Russell Wagoner.
