NATCHEZ &045; It was the news the family of Gina Wilson Green had been waiting for.
Sheree Bryant, the sister of serial killer victim Green, gathered with her family to watch the news unfold on television.
A task force of agencies investigating the murders of Green and several other women in the Baton Rouge area notified Bryant of the arrest of serial killer suspect Derrick Todd Lee just minutes before the news broke Tuesday night.
&uot;I’m thrilled Š and very emotional,&uot; Bryant said through tears. &uot;I just thank God he’s been caught. We’ve been waiting for this moment, and it’s finally here. But I still want my sister back.&uot;
Authorities have said Green was the first woman slain by the serial killer. Other victims have included Charlotte Murray Pace, 22, and Pam Kinamore, 44, both of Baton Rouge; and Trineisha Dene Colomb, 23, of Lafayette.
