NATCHEZ &045; As a manhunt for John Vasser murder suspect Nathan Hogan continues, two people suspected of being accessories of Hogan’s were arrested Monday.
Warrants for accessory to capital murder were issued for Thomas Andrew Briggs, 25, 741 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, and Kim Magyar, 28, of the same address. The two were arrested and held in New Orleans.
&uot;Over the past few days, investigators have been receiving some information from those cities (other cities involved in the investigation) that helped determine, after the fact, there were three people involved in trying to utilize the stolen credit cards &045; another male and a female,&uot; Adams County Sheriff Tommy Ferrell said.
Vasser was killed earlier this month at his late parents’ house in Natchez, where he had been living.
Investigators on the case identified a location where the suspect may have been, Ferrell said, and when agents were dispatched to New Orleans, they missed Hogan but found the other two suspects.
Agents from the FBI, Criminal Investigation Bureau of Mississippi and Criminal Investigator for the Adams County Sheriff’s Department Major John Manley went to New Orleans to work with the Violent Crimes Task Force there.
They did apprehend these two suspects and are still looking for Hogan, going places he is known to frequent because, Ferrell said, he has been seen in the area.
&uot;The noose has been tightening around the suspect, Nathan Hogan, and we expect to have him in custody very soon,&uot; Ferrell said. &uot;I anticipate his being caught quickly.&uot;
