Three in running for sheriff post

VIDALIA &045; As expected, three individuals signed up Tuesday to run for Concordia Parish sheriff.
Republican Glenn Lipsey, incumbent Democrat Randy Maxwell and
Democrat Jim Whittington are in the running.
Qualifying for Louisiana elections began Tuesday and Concordia Parish recorded 23 candidates entered for Oct. 4 primaries and Nov. 4 general elections.
Qualifying lasts through Thursday. Anyone wanting to register in Concordia Parish can do so at the Clerk of Court’s office in the Concordia Parish Courthouse.

34th Senatorial District: Incumbent Charles D. Jones, Democrat
Clerk of Court: Incumbent Clyde Ray Webber Jr., Republican
