NATCHEZ &045; It was a good day for low scoring in the final round of the 2003 Budweiser Four Ball Invitational at Beau Pr Country Club.

Glenn Roscoe and Dale Cagnollatti, who took the lead in the championship flight with an 8-under 64 on Saturday, shot an equally impressive 7-under 65 on Sunday for a two-day score of 129 to win the tournament by three shots.

&uot;I think it’s great to win,&uot; Roscoe said. &uot;Dale played great yesterday. He shot 66 on his own ball. I played great today. I shot 66 on my own ball. Today we both hit greens in regulation. We never got in trouble.&uot;

&uot;It feels to come back here every year and play this course. But it’s hard to do it all by yourself,&uot; Cagnollatti jokingly said. &uot;It’s good partnership. We complement each other.&uot;

The championship team had bogey-free rounds both days, but Rosoce and Cagnollatti weren’t the only ones to accomplish that feat this weekend.

Dean and Dwayne Brown, who are originally from Natchez (Dean now lives in Brandon and Dwayne now resides in Lafayette, La.), also shot a 65 to finish at 132.

&uot;I was pretty much riding my brother,&uot; Dean Brown said. &uot;My brother played really good on the back nine. We shot 3-under on the front and 4-under on the back.

&uot;My brother putted well on the back. He had a stretch of three birdies in a row. The course is in awesome shape.&uot;

P.Z. Brewer and Mitch Ashmore, who trailed Roscoe and Cagnollatti by two shots after firing a 66 on Saturday, shot a 5-under 67 on Sunday to finish third with a two-day score of 133.

Their round included seven birdies and two costly bogeys that put them out of contention.

&uot;We missed several opportunities,’ Brewer said. &uot;We were trying to get it to 12-under, but we could only get to 11-under. We parred 18. We thought we could birdie it. If we could’ve made pars instead of birdies we would’ve been 13-under. But it was fun.&uot;

Randy Moore and Tommy Langlois, who were just one shot back with a 65 on Saturday, struggled on Sunday and shot 69 to finish at 134 and fourth place.

Tom Matthews and Chee Chee Barnes, who just a week earlier captained Team Carnoustie to victory at the Beau Pr Cup, shot a 65 to win the first flight with a two-day, bogey-free total of 135.

&uot;This is the first time we’ve played together,&uot; Barnes said. &uot;Tom played good on the front nine. He chipped in for eagle at 5 from about 20 feet. We both missed two or three putts from inside 10 feet. We had fun playing together.&uot;
