Bus seats available for ‘Glory’ attendees

NATCHEZ &045;&045; Registration is under way for the conference &uot;Bound for Glory on the Bayou&uot; to be held Nov. 6-8 at the Marriott Hotel in Baton Rouge, La.

For those who want to attend the entire conference, hotel reservations should be made immediately, said Ser Seshs Ab Heter-C.M. Boxley.

For those who want to attend only activities on Nov. 6, will include the opening of the conference and the commemoration of the Forks of the Road site, a bus is available, free of charge, he said.

&uot;The bus will leave from the old Wal-Mart parking lot at noon that day,&uot; Boxley said.

&uot;We’ll take those who wish to go,&uot; he added.

The bus will make the living history tour to Port Hudson commemorative site and then go to Southern University.

There, participants will visit the university’s art museum and see its collection of African art.

&uot;Bus participants will eat at the dining hall at the university, and the cost of that meal will be their only expense of the day,&uot; he said.
