DONALDSONVILLE, La. &045; The Block Bear steamrolling offense claimed another victim.
This time the Bears played the style of ball they’ve played through the regular season and pounded out a 49-0 win over Ascension Catholic Friday night in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs.
The win puts the Bears facing St. Edmund next week after it downed Loreauville, 34-27.
&uot;They just drove the ball on us &045; just like they’ve been doing on everybody,&uot; ACHS head coach Kirk Delatte said. &uot;They did the same stuff they’ve been doing all year long. They outmanned us pretty much everywhere up front. They were pretty consistent. We really couldn’t stop them all night long.&uot;
The Bears got two touchdowns in each quarter to pound away steadily at ACHS. E.J. Wilkson and Demetrius Duncan each scored in the first quarter as the Bears logged 343 yards rushing.
The Bulldogs had three interceptions and one fumble.
