CROSBY &045;&045; A two-vehicle collision Thursday morning on Mississippi 33 just south of Crosby resulted in a fatality, a spokesperson for the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.

However, at press time Thursday night troopers were still withholding the crash victim’s identity pending notification of next-of-kin.

MHP Troop M Dispatcher Luke Herrington said the vehicle with the fatality was southbound at approximately 7:09 a.m. when it apparently served into the northbound lane and struck an unloaded 18-wheeler.

Herrington said no other details were available.
