FERRIDAY &045;&045; Ferriday police have made one more arrest in the March 20 shooting death of Sharon Ferdinand of Ferriday.
Tuesday afternoon, FPD arrested Undray Moore, 35, of Ferriday, on a charge of second-degree murder. Moore was being treated at Riverland Medical Center since the shooting.
Moore was shot in the wrist and abdomen during the Maryland Avenue incident, according to Ferriday Police Chief Bobby Sheppard.
FPD provided 24-hour security on Moore while he was in the hospital.
Moore was released from Riverland Wednesday and taken to the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he was booked. His bond will be set in court today.
As of now, Moore has not given a statement and has retained an attorney, Sheppard said.
Sheppard said the arrest &uot;was based on witnesses statements and evidence that was recovered from the crime scene.&uot;
Sheppard said he does not expect any more arrests to be made, but did not rule it out as the investigation continues.
CPSO and the District Attorney’s Office are assisting in that investigation.
Assistant District Attorney Brad Burget has said all indications point to Moore shooting Ferdinand and Wells shooting Moore. Burget said it looks as if Wells shot Moore in self-defense. Sheppard said the investigation has not changed those findings. Ferdinand, 44, of Maryland Avenue, called police March 20 to say someone was trying to get into her home. She was shot late that night in the right arm and wrist and upper body.
