NATCHEZ &045;&045; Services for Nannie Victoria Purvis Goins, 83, of Carthage and formerly of Natchez, who died Friday, June 25, 2004 in Philadelphia, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Goins was born on July 20, 1920 in Harrisonburg, La., the daughter of John Purvis and Mary Cowart Purvis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Stewart Goins, and her parents.
Survivors include her children, Herbert P. Goins and wife Belva of Burkeville, Texas and Shirley Ann Trest and husband Hilton of Lena; four grandchildren, Tasha Trest, Brian Goins, Holly Neely and Jennifer Trest; four great-grandchildren and her brother Joe Purvis of Harrisonburg.
Jessie Bell Ferguson Green

WOODVILLE &045;&045; Services for Jessie Bell Ferguson Green, 72, who died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Central Mississippi Medical Center, will be at noon on Tuesday at St. Matthew Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Woodstock Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Christian Hope Church in Natchez and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to service time at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Woodville.
Mrs. Green was born on Feb. 28, 1932 in Woodville the daughter of Willie Ferguson Sr. and Ethel Mungel Ferguson.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband Fleming Green Sr., of Natchez; five sons, Michael and wife Gisele Green Sr., Malcolm Green and Larry Green of Natchez, Charles and wife Dolly Ferguson and Leroy and wife Elaine Ferguson of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Barbara Ann Green of Natchez; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Willie Jr. and wife Mildred Ferguson and Roosevelt Ferguson of Baton Rouge, Ernest Ferguson Sr. of Retreat, La., and Henry and wife Ruth Ferguson Sr. of Woodville; two sisters, Annie Stewart and Helen Hayes of Baton Rouge; one brother-in-law, Alfred and wife Cleotha Green Sr. of Natchez and two sisters-in-law, Hattie Tolliver of Woodville and Lepora Green Ellis of Natchez.

GLOSTER &045;&045; Services for Hilton Lynn &uot;Hick&uot; Netterville, 70, of Woodville, who died Friday, June 25, 2004 at his residence, will be at 3 p.m. today in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Dixon officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Netterville was born June 12, 1934 in Wilkinson County the son of I.D. Netterville and Mable Leake Netterville.
He was retired from a career as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Netterville was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gearldine Geter Netterville and one sister, Delsa McCurley.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Charlotte Rayborn of McComb and Elaine Dover of Woodville; two brothers, I.D. &uot;Buddy&uot; Netterville Jr. and wife Nevelyn and Glenn Netterville and wife Mary, all of Woodville; three nieces, Linda Reed, Glenda Netterville and Creigaliene Irwin and numerous great-nieces and -nephews.
John B. Otwell Jr.

SICILY ISLAND, La. &045;&045; Services for John B. Otwell Jr., 70, who died Friday, June 25, 2004 at his residence, will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Rust officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Otwell was born on Jan. 29, 1934, in LaSalle Parish, La., the son of John Benismin and Margaret Brown Otwell Sr.
He was a retired supervisor at BASF Wyandotte Chemical Co.
Mr. Otwell was preceded in death by his wife Mary Evelyn Garrett Otwell.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Otwell of Jena, La.; one daughter, Margaret Renee Otwell, of Ponchatoula, La., two sisters, Bessie Sanders of Jena La., and Helen Otwell of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Milton Garrett and wife Kim of Natchez and John Garrett and wife Linda of Clarks, La.; one sister-in-law, Melissa Harwick and husband Mark of Liberty and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Milton Garrett, John Garrett, Jacob Harrison, Jonathan Kennedy, Josh Kennedy and Billy Cothern.

NATCHEZ &045;&045; Services for John H. Sturgeon, 75, of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Coleman Allmond and the Rev. Bernard Waites officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sturgeon was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Natchez.
He was a member of 61 South Church of Christ.
Mr. Sturgeon was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Mamie Sturgeon; two brothers, Maxie Sturgeon and Louis Sturgeon; and a granddaughter, Tara Johnnell Halloran.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Sturgeon of Natchez; two daughters, Mary Nell Dixon and Valencia Lynn Sturgeon both of Natchez; three granddaughters, Melissa Jane Hall, Rebecca Lynn Maxie, and Brandy Johnell McLeod; two great-grandchildren, Ashton Hall and Meredith Hall; two brothers, Alonzo Sturgeon of Woodville and Charles Sturgeon of Hattiesburg; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are John M. Sturgeon, Holmes Sturgeon, Hiram Sturgeon, Louis Sturgeon, Cecil Sturgeon, Doug Lawrence, John R. Sturgeon and Tony Sturgeon.
Honarary pallbearers are Leroy Smith, Ernest Baragona, and David Lawrence.
