VIDALIA, La &045; The Rev. Joe Curtis, children’s pastor of the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou, and members of Miss-Lou Community Action hope this weekend the Vidalia Riverfront will be on fire &045; on fire with the Holy Spirit.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, the MLCA will host Delta Fire, a three-night crusade to ignite the fire of Christ in the heart of the community, Curtis said.

Starting at 7 each night, the crusade will feature Southern gospel and contemporary music, a children’s crusade and keynote speaker the Rev. Mark Morgan.

Morgan is an international motivational speaker and evangelist who speaks at camps, conferences and crusades similar to this weekend’s event.

&uot;He is the creator of America on Fire, a group of crusades in Dallas, San Francisco and New Orleans,&uot; Curtis said. &uot;He is an expert in the field.&uot;

Each night the crusade will have a theme. Friday night will focus on &uot;Patriotism.&uot; Saturday night’s focus will be &uot;Praying for the Economy&uot; and Sunday will focus on &uot;Healing &045; Physical, Family and Spiritual.&uot;

At the event, canned food will be collected for the Feed the Children program.

Coupled with the Delta Fire crusade will also be a Children’s Crusade. Presented by the Kid’s Impact Team the Children’s Crusade will have a variety of things for children to enjoy.

&uot;There are going to be some wild things,&uot; Curtis said. &uot;We have extreme props and extreme games.&uot;

So don’t be surprised if you see the sails of a 24-foot sailboat towering above the Vidalia amphitheater.

&uot;Anybody who comes will have a great time,&uot; Curtis said.
