Funeral services for Pulliam to be Thursday

LORMAN &045;&045; Funeral services for an Alcorn State athlete killed in a car accident will be at noon Thursday in Memphis, Tenn., school officials said Monday.
Terlyn Pulliam, who ran both cross country and track for the Lady Braves, was killed Thursday night in an accident just outside of the ASU campus. Services for the 20-year-old Memphis native will be at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at N.J. Ford Funeral Home in Memphis.
Alcorn State will provide a bus to take members of the cross country and track and field teams and other students to the funeral.
A communications major, Pulliam entered the semester with a 3.13 grade point average. On the track, Pulliam participated in the hurdles, long jump and heptathlon events, in addition to running distance as a member of the cross country team.
Pulliam enrolled at Alcorn on an athletic scholarship.
