The men demanded money and walked out with a little less than $300, five cases of beer and some cigarettes, he said.

No one was injured in the robbery, but the store closed for the night to give the employees some time to settle down, Brown said.

The men left on foot and Adams County sheriff’s officers suspect they went into the woods by the store.

&uot;We found some of a shirt in the woods,&uot; Brown said. &uot;We need any information anyone has. We can’t tolerate that.&uot;

The ACSO contacted Natchez Police, who brought their canine unit to the scene.

Brown said eight officers were on the scene Monday night.

ACSO officers will be on the scene this morning when the store opens for regular business, Brown said.

The armed robbery is the first one in the county in more than a year, Brown said.

Anyone with information about the robbery can call the ACSO at 442-2752 or Crime Stoppers at 442-5000.
