FERRIDAY &045; Healing hearts is the aim of a Concordia Parish library program to be held in Ferriday tonight and Vidalia on Thursday.
&uot;Matters of the heart,&uot; co-hosted by the LSU AgCenter Extension Service, will focus on heart healthcare including heart disease, before switching gears to talk about the emotional heart.
Terri Crawford of the Extension Service will present the program at 5:30 both nights.
Library Director Amanda Taylor said the program was an important one to have because heart disease is such a prominent killer.
The second portion of the night will correlate Valentine’s Day and the heart and focus on bringing romance to the home.
The program is free and open to the public. It will last about 30 to 40 minutes and will be held at the library in each town.
The program is one of many the Concordia Parish libraries offer throughout the year.
The next library program will be a tax service for seniors and low-income taxpayers at the Ferriday library on Feb. 17.
