Teamwork helps land new business

There’s no substitute for teamwork. The joint effort from the economic development authority, city and county in recent weeks has led to the likely location of an engineering firm in downtown Natchez.
About a dozen people would work at the new office, a branch of Michael Baker Jr. Inc., with a fairly sizeable payroll.
While the number of jobs is not as significant as other projects, this is yet another step in the right direction for economic development.
And the partnering of the board of aldermen, board of supervisors and the EDA on the project shows us again what the teamwork of these boards can do.
We need to keep up that momentum, because it’s only by working together that we will continue to succeed in revitalizing our economy &045; and our community.
We’re glad to see the teamwork and expect it will continue on future projects.
