NATCHEZ &045; A house fire that killed one Natchez woman is under investigation by local and state authorities.

Lucille Boykin, 46, died in the early Tuesday morning fire. Sheriff Ronny Brown said Boykin was found in the front bedroom of her 29 Green Acres Road home.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Natchez Fire Department were dispatched to the county home at 5:30 a.m.

Brown said he expects the cause of death to be ruled accidental but will wait on an autopsy for the final ruling.

The case ongoing and is under investigation by the ACSO, NFD and the state fire marshal.
