WINNSBORO, La. &045; Jake Winston’s three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the fifth inning gave the Vidalia All-Stars a 14-3 win over Madison Tuesday night at the Major League South sub-district tournament.

The home run was not only big for Jake Winston, but also for his dad and Vidalia head coach Tam Winston, who was hoping the game would have ended a little sooner.

&uot;We were just trying to conserve our pitching,&uot; Tam Winston said. &uot;We should’ve ended it after four innings, but we made a couple of errors that kept the game going. He got a hold of one and hit it out.&uot;
