Alexander to meet with area constituents

VIDALIA, La. &045; U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander will be in Vidalia and Jonesville Thursday afternoon to meet with local constituents in the final two of five town hall meetings during Congress’ August recess period.
Alexander said he hopes to talk to local residents about their concerns in the meetings.
Alexander made appearances in Jonesboro, La., Winnfield, La., and Jena, La., Monday and Tuesday as part of the process, but Alexander and some of his staff will be at the Concordia Parish Community Center at 4:30 p.m. and then go to the Jonesville Town Hall for a 6:30 p.m. meeting.
&uot;My staff and I want to hold these meetings so that we can be better informed on the issues affecting residents in the Fifth Congressional District,&uot; Alexander said. &uot;I cannot express how important these meetings are to me, and I hope that all local residents can attend.&uot;
Concordia and Catahoula Parishes make up part of Alexander’s district, which runs from the Arkansas state line to Iberville Parish, just west of Baton Rouge.
