Burglary suspects charged

NATCHEZ &045; Police have made two arrests in connection with a string of burglaries in July and early August, mostly in the downtown area.
But the investigation continues, and more charges may still be filed, Police Chief Mike Mullins said Tuesday.
Items taken in the July burglaries included:
4A gun in a house burglary on D’Evereux Drive.
4Ten dollars in change in a burglary on Main Street.
4Assorted jewelry from a jewelry store.
4Several CDs from a business on East Franklin Street.
4A mower and a leaf blower from a shed at a house on Main Street.
4Tool and equipment from a shed at a house on Jefferson Street.
Edward Scott, 42, of 115 S. Commerce St., was arrested Aug. 2 in connection with the shed burglary on Main Street.
Michael Bacon, 17, of 94 St. Catherine St., was arrested in connection with the D’Evereux Drive burglary.
