Ancestor Seekers take trips family researchers would dream about

If spending some serious research time in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City sounds like a dream vacation to you, why not join one of the Ancestor Seekers Research Trips and do just that.

Ancestor Seekers will be conducting another Research Trip Sunday, September 25 through Thursday, September 29, 2005. These well planned trips include five nights accommodations at the Best Western Salt Lake Plaza Hotel (next door to the Library itself) and four full days use of the Library system.

Along with access to the Library, each participant will have help and advice from professional genealogists from 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm each day and the opportunity to attend up to ten daily classes on a variety of research topics. The classes are available during the morning hours and will be conducted at the Plaza Hotel.

Evening entertainment includes a buffet reception on the first night; a visit to the Hale Center Theater to see a production of &uot;Camelot;&uot; a trip to the historic Temple Square; and a trip to the Conference Center to watch the Tabernacle Choir in rehearsal.

Also included is a full breakfast buffet at JB’s Restaurant in the Plaza each morning and free shuttle between the airport and the hotel for arrival and departure.

HAIMES (7 Nov 1823-25 June 1901) and LETTIE FRANCES LONG HAIMES (29 March 1831-11 June 1908) who homesteaded in Winston Count, MS, not long after their marriage in Georgia on 9 Oct 1856. Their children were Frances Cordelia (CORDIE) Haimes (who married H. CARR and lived in Ackerman); ROBERT BOYD Haimes (who married first Allie N. PORTER and then Ina GREEN); John William (JAKE) Haimes (who did not marry); Cleophas Decalb (BABE) (who married first Mary Etta (Mollye) WEST and then Louvada (Ludie) MILLER); Jefferson (JEFF) Davis Haimes (who married Ida WALLACE); and Mary Virginia (VERGIE) Haimes (who married Thomas Alexander PRICE and lived in Philadelphia). Ms. Mastin, who is the daughter of Annie Mae Haimes Price and the granddaughter of C.D. Haimes, is looking for any of the descendants of these six. Can any reader help with this search?
