Franklin clubs sweep CHS soccer

MEADVILLE &8212; Rich Scott scored on a corner kick on a header near the end of the first half and Franklin County goalkeeper Danny Mullins made it stand as the Bulldogs defeated the Cathedral Green Wave 1-0 Friday night.
Franklin County (5-0, 10-3-1) not only kept control of first place in Division 7 but also recorded its eighth shutout of the season.

MEADVILLE &8212; Andrea&8217; Arnold scored what turned out to be the only goal of the game early in the first half and Lady Bulldogs&8217; defense and goalie Jennifer Thornton gave the Lady Green Wave (2-3, 2-6-2) their third straight loss in division.
Natchez High boys 4, Forest Hill 1
JACKSON &8212; For the second time this week, the Bulldogs&8217; Ross Smith scored three goals in one game, and his second one broke a 1-1 tie at halftime.
John Isaac and Dennis Williams each had an assist on Smith&8217;s first two goals. Kent Calvit also scored.
Natchez High 9, Forest Hill 0
JACKSON &8212; Jadtrl Heard scored the first five goals of the game for Natchez in just a minute and 45 seconds.
