NHS students found with gun on campus

NATCHEZ &8212; Two Natchez High students were arrested Thursday morning and charged with having a gun on campus.

A 15-year-old has been released to his parents, and Joshua Proby, 18, 74 Gaylor Road, was in jail Thursday, awaiting an arraignment today.

Police Chief Mike Mullins said the 15-year-old had gotten a gun and wanted to show it to Proby, so he brought it to school.

&8220;School officials received information the gun was in a locker,&8221; Mullins said.

Police recovered the gun without incident around 10:30 a.m.

Both students face charges of possession of a weapon on a school campus.
