FERRIDAY &8212; Memorial services for William Cecil Ball Jr., 55, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, in Ferriday, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lakeshore Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.

Mr. Ball was born Jan. 13, 1951, in Shreveport, La., the son of William C. Sr. and Grace Nell H. Ball. He was a resident of Ferriday for six years and of the Baptist faith. He was a 2005 graduate of Co-Lin in Natchez, where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a member of the National Honor Society. He loved dogs and was an avid sportsman. He was also a musician, instrument tech, truck driver, and a computer technologist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Hazel Ball and a sister, Janice.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Benita Daigle Ball of Ferriday; a son, William Joseph Ball of Phoenix, Az.; his mother and father-in-law, Mary and Floyd Daigle Sr.; brother-in-laws, Floyd Daigle Jr. of San Antonio, Curt Daigle and wife Deborah of Baton Rouge and John Daigle and wife Sandy of Walker, La.; sister-in-law, Louisa Carter and husband Allen of Central City, Claudette Allen of Baton Rouge, Lovie Landis and husband Bruce of Brusly, La., Janell Barber and husband Neil of Watson, La. and Rene&8217; Daigle of Baton Rouge; numerous nieces and nephews.

NATCHEZ &8212; Services for J.W. Moore, 87, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at his home, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday from McNeely Road Church of God with Bishop L. Paul Hays officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church and Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Moore was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Lena, the son of Earnest Linwood Moore and Julia Boyd Moore. He attended McNeely Road Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kim Wynn; daughter-in-law, Susan Moore; ten sisters and brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Moore; five sons, Thomas Moore and wife Jeanette, Fred Moore and wife Betty, Bobby Moore and wife Gail, David Moore and Timmy Moore and wife Melodie all of Natchez; two daughters, Becky Spears and husband Jerry of Natchez and Janie Wynn and husband David of Wisner, La.; 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; one brother, Dick Moore of Ellensburg, Wash.; one sister, Jewel Doris Bedwell of Carthage; six half brothers and half sisters.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Moore, Tony Moore, Kevin Spears, Robert Moore, Richard Moore, Kevin Moore, Matthew Moore, Damien Moore, Kelly Spears and David Paul Dawson.

ETHEL &8212; Services for Terry Lynn Passons, 40, of Ethel, who died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Doty Springs Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Doty Springs Cemetery in Attala County.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service today at the church.
