BREAKING NEWS: Davis verdict &8212; Guilty

NATCHEZ &8212; Twelve years late, a man is behind bars for the murder of Rena Davis.
After two hours of deliberation the jury returned a guilty verdict around noon Thursday in the three-day murder trial of William Terry Davis.
Davis was sentenced to life in prison by Judge Forrest &8220;Al&8221; Johnson. He was booked into the Adams County jail, and is scheduled to be transported to the Mississippi Department of Corrections this afternoon.
Rena Davis was found dead on May 17, 1994. Her ex-husband was arrested in January on murder charges. The Davis case is one five cold cases reopened two years ago by the Adams County Sheriff&8217;s Office.
