Update: Play halted at Simpson Academy halfway through second; HHS rained out

Adams Christian&8217;s contest at Simpson Academy in Game 2 of the Class AA state championship series was halted by rained after 1 1/2 innings with the Cougars leading 4-1.
The Cougars scored four runs in the first inning off Adams starter Brian Sanderson, and play was halted as Simpson was coming to bat in the second.
Play will at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Huntington&8217;s Game 2 at Porters Chapel was rained out. It will be played at 3 p.m. Thursday.
