Ferriday &8212; Live well, love much, laugh often.

That&8217;s what the Huntington School senior graduates hold as their motto. It&8217;s the advice they gave everyone just before starting the unseen path their new lives will follow.

Thirteen students walked and received a diploma Friday acknowledging the completion of one stage and permitting entrance to the next.

&8220;It&8217;s going to be good to get out into the real world,&8221; Huntington graduate Huston Eliser said. &8220;I&8217;m going to miss the experience and all my friends, but there&8217;s a lot to look forward to.&8221;

The students all gathered in a classroom before walking across the stage finalizing the graduation, while talking, joking and just enjoying the moment as it came.

&8220;This has been quite an experience,&8221; Valedictorian Jamie Huffman said. &8220;It&8217;s been a lot of fun and I have a lot of memories. I will miss my friends and teachers the most, but I&8217;m ready.&8221;

The senior class of 2006 contained two students graduating with honors, a GPA above a 3.0 and two students graduating with the highest honors, a GPA above 3.6. The senior class also saw a sports season full of highlights, Eliser said.

Student council president, beta club member and class president, Chad Kenney, said the school has also been great to him and now he is headed to Louisiana Tech.

&8220;Basketball, cross country and track are probably what I will miss the most,&8221; he said. &8220;It&8217;s all just been great.&8221;

The seniors all had different plans for the task of beginning their lives, but all said they had fun.

Salutatorian Marie Miller told the crowd in her speech two things the class of 2006 has learned and will always keep with them are good values and strong character.

&8220;Even though we are saying farewell, we will always be a part of Huntington,&8221; Miller said.
