Barnie Lee Cloy Stubbs

May 15, 1924 &8212; May 26, 2006 FERRIDAY &8212; Services for Barnie Lee Cloy Stubbs, 82, who died Friday, May 26, 2006 in Lafayette, La., were Sunday at Sicily Island United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Foster officiating. Burial followed at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. Mrs. Stubbs was born May 15, 1924, in Sicily Island the daughter of Richard H. and Pinkie B. Cloy. She was retired as town clerk of Sicily Island, a position she held from 1976 -1996. She was a member of Sicily Island United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Perry Stubbs Sr.; sisters, Nellie Cloy Hair, Anna Cloy Cole and brothers, Gerald Cloy, Johnny Charles Cloy and Frank Cloy. Survivors include, son William Perry Stubbs Jr. and wife Carol Maesar Stubbs of Lafayette; daughter Diana Stubss Sylvest and husband John Sylvest of New Roads; grandchildren, John William Stubbs of Washington, D.C., Nathan Robert Stubbs of Lafayette, Andrew Michael Stubbs of Chicago, John Warren Sylvest of New Roads and Lauren Diana Sylvest of Baton Rouge; brothers, Jarvis Cloy and wife Jean and Billy Cloy and wife Marjorie, all of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Billy Cloy, John Warrent Sylvest, Nathan Stubbs, Andrew Stubbs, John Sylvest and Richard Cloy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jarvis Cloy, Richard Armstrong, Stein Cloy, Roy Evans and Marvin Nolen. Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Children&8217;s Home in Ruston or the Sicily Island United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Cornerstone Nursing Home, Lafayette General Hospital, Hospice of Acadiana and all her care givers, Dr. Nathan Landry and Dr. Dee Duke for the kind care and treatment of Mrs. Stubbs throughout her lengthy illness.

Massey, 90, who died Friday, May 26, 2006 at Heritage Manor Health and Rehab Center of Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young&8217;s Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Johnson and Glenn Massey officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Sicily Island under the direction of Young&8217;s Funeral Home. Visitation will be form 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Massey was a Ferriday resident and member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Ferriday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mae Fuller; her husband, Julian T. Massey; two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Alice and husband John Gallup of Wisner, La., and Hilda and husband George Dekerlegand of Ferriday; three sons, Charles and wife Jean Massey of Durham, N.C., Tommy and wife Judy Massey of Vidalia, J.T. Massey Jr. and wife Joyce of Natchez; three brothers, James Fuller of West Monroe, Edward Fuller of West Monroe and Calvin Fuller of Warwick, R.I.; sister, Marie Saulsbery of West Monroe; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-granchildren. Pallbearers will be Perry Gallup, Tony Gallup, Michael Dekerlegand, Jay Massey, Jeffery Masesy, Shane Massey, Chad Massey, Darren Massey and Logan Massey.

Feb. 6, 1926 &8212; May 27, 2006 NATCHEZ &8212; Services for Dovie Mae Walker, 80, who died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Doug Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Walker was born Feb. 6, 1926 in Brookhaven, the daughter of Isaac Delaughter and Carrie Sykes Delaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee J. Walker; daughter, Mary Lee Chandler; granddaughter, Rebecca Walker and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include, daughter, Rebecca Henry and husband Richard &8220;Neal&8221;; a son, Larry Walker and wife Judy all of Natchez; a son-in-law, Billy Ray Chandler Sr. of Brookhaven; granddaughters, Carrie Myers of Vidalia, Melissa Wisner and husband Jason of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jennifer Nations of Natchez, Jessica Allemand and husband Hethe of Fayetteville, N.C., Lana Shoemake and husband Brandon of Natchez, Charlotte Simmons and husband, Obie of Denham Springs, La., Kim Edgerton and husband Christopher of Spokane, Wash.; and grandsons, Billy Ray Chandler Jr., Michael Chandler and Alton Chandler, all of Brookhaven. Mrs. Walker&8217;s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Bobbie Sue Case

MCNAIR &8212; Services for Bobbie Sue Case, 45, who died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elmo Baptist Church in McNair. Burial will follow at Elmo Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Donna Graves DeLancey

FERRIDAY &8212; Services for Donna Graves DeLancey, 39, who died Friday, May 26, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Monroe, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church with the Revs. Fred Rushing, John Hawthorne, Wendy Webber Butitta and Ray Owens Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young&8217;s Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. DeLancey was a resident of Bastrop, La., where she was a registered nurse and a member of the Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church. She graduated from Huntington Academy and Concordia Vo-Tech, attended NLU and graduated from Louisiana Tech with an associate&8217;s degree in nursing and a minor in psychology. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lee and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Graves. Survivors include a son, Brandon Scott Hampton of Bastrop; her father, Larry &8220;Butch&8221; Keith Graves of Ferriday; her mother, Clara Gail Graves of Ferriday; husband, William Casey DeLancey of West Monroe; sister, Debbie Gail and husband Jimmy Williams of Ruston; and two nieces, Madeline Williams and Carmen Williams of Ruston. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lee, Seth Moore, Paul Glynn, Eric Dryg, Jessie Horton and Tim McDaniel. The honorary pallbearers will be Charles Lee, Dr. Marshall Leary and Fred Rushing. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
