The board allocates money to the city of Vidalia to spray for mosquitoes on all streets of Vidalia except for Azalea Street due to one woman&8217;s health problems. Also, City Attorney Jack McLemore suggested that the board allocate $15,000 from the budget to deal with the Vidalia canal. McLemore suggested the dry slough at the beginning of the Vidalia canal could be manipulated to receive water from the Mississippi river rather than having the city pay to have the water pumped in. The mayor and the board agreed to review McLemore&8217;s proposal and to try and allocate money from the budget at the end of the month. A motion also failed to allow the granting of an occupational license to Irmease Banks to open the Souley Center at 400 Carter St.
