Juneteenth wraps up good week

4The U.S. House passed legislation providing $650,000 for the Natchez Trails Project. The funding still needs Senate approval and a presidential nod, but last week&8217;s news was a great first step toward making the project a reality. 4Natchez Fire Marshal Aaron Wesley was named the chaplain of the department. We wish Wesley and the other heroes in uniform the very best as they go about their daily work risking their lives to save ours when called upon. 4The new welcome signs around Natchez certainly look good. Thanks to the Natchez Downtown Development Association, the Natchez-Adams Chamber of Commerce and the Natchez Rotary Club for seeing the need and making something happen. We hope you have lots of good news this week.
