Festivities set for tonight

VIDALIA &8212; The postponed Fourth of July celebration will be held today along the Mississippi River bluff in Natchez and on the Vidalia Riverfront.
The event in Vidalia including two bluegrass gospel bands and a Southern Rock band will offer entertainment to all ages.
The Concordia Parish Sheriff&8217;s Department will cook food. Entertainment for kids, including a water slide, will also be offered.
Vendors, games and music begin at 4 p.m.
In Natchez, the bluff will be filled with the sights and sounds of Red, White and Blue on the Bluff, an event sponsored by Natchez First Radio.
Offerings will include a hot dog eating contest, a watermelon spitting contest and plenty of other games and activities for families to enjoy.
The entertainment of the evening will be followed by a fireworks display over the river sponsored by the Isle of Capri Casino.
