Friday assault leads to arrest

NATCHEZ &8212; Angela D. Williams was arrested Monday after a Friday stabbing.

Williams, 30, 21 Newell Road, allegedly stabbed Zachary Johnson, 25, 2825 Roseland Drive, at her residence on two separate occasions Friday evening, Adams County Sheriff&8217;s Office Detective Robert Brown said. Investigators have not yet determined a motive for the crime, Brown said.

&8220;Johnson stated his ex-girlfriend came running to his car with a knife. She cut him in the chest and hand,&8221; Brown said. &8220;After that she tried to take his car and he called the sheriff&8217;s office. When he tried to call the sheriff&8217;s office she came back with the car and stabbed him in the back of the neck around the lower shoulder blade.&8221;

Johnson was treated and released for injuries at a local hospital, Brown said.

Williams was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault. No bond has been set. The case is still under investigation.
