VIDALIA &8212; Charlie B. Pounds was arrested late Tuesday for his role in the July 9 stabbing of his wife.
Pounds, 32, of 2030 Robert Gray St., Vidalia, is charged with attempted second-degree murder and inciting a felony for allegedly encouraging his girlfriend, Betty P. Richardson, to stab his wife.
Richardson allegedly stabbed Pounds&8217; wife, Cora, in the chest at a Burl Roberts Road residence at approximately 1 a.m. on July 9.
Concordia Parish Sheriff&8217;s Department Investigator David Hedrick arrested Pounds, and said the stabbing occurred in the yard of the residence. Several people were at the scene, and have been interviewed over the course of the ongoing investigation.
Cora was taken to Natchez Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a Vicksburg hospital, where she was treated and released from the Intensive Care Unit.
Hedrick said the sheriff&8217;s department located Richardson shortly after the incident around the scene of the stabbing.
Richardson is currently being held at the Concordia Parish Jail in Vidalia. Her bond is set at $150,000 on charges of attempted
second-degree murder.
Pounds&8217; bond was set at $25,000 for attempted second-degree murder, and $2,000 on the charge of inciting a felony.
He is currently being held at the Concordia Parish Jail in Vidalia.
