FERRIDAY &8212; A Musical Extravaganza will be held today in Ferriday.

The Interacting Parent Committee and the Concordia Parish Recreation District No. 1 will team up to present the event. The extravagaza will feature Xtreme Praise Ministries of Alexandria and a puppet show. The show will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Florida Avenue Gym.

Local singers, dancers, choirs, soloists and praise teams are also invited to participate. Children and adults will be participating in the performances.

Their performances are popular in Louisiana, particularly in the central and northeast areas.

&8220;We are inviting the community to come out and be a part of this highly energized and spirit filled event,&8221; event organizer Josephine Webster said. &8220;Be assured that you will be well entertained and uplifted to witness this group&8217;s execution of its motto, Jesus goes to the extreme to save souls.&8221;

The admission is $1 for children and $2 for adults. Refreshments will be sold.
