NATCHEZ &8212; Law enforcement officers seized nearly half a pound of marijuana Friday morning.
The group of officers from the Natchez Police Department, Adams County Sheriff&8217;s Department and Metro Narcotics was looking for a suspect they did not catch in the series of arrests last month, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
Officers found the man&8217;s car at his residence on Old Washington Road, he said, and saw a bag of what looked like marijuana in plain view.
They obtained a search warrant and found 11 more bags in the car, he said.
The total weight was 205 grams, which would sell for anywhere from $600 to $1,000 on the street, Mullins said.
Officers are still looking for the suspect, Mullins said.
