Vidalia &8212; No arrests have been made in connection with a shooting that happened in Vidalia Saturday night.

Police Chief Billy Hammers said that

the Vidalia Police Department is still investigating the case.

In what he is calling an alleged drive-by shooting, Hammers said Timothy Thomas, 23, 706 North Magnolia St., was shot in the left thigh at 4:33 a.m., Aug. 26 on Walnut Street.

Thomas was transferred to Natchez Regional Hospital, treated and released.

Hammers said he would not release any other information.
