Joy Curry Smith has joined joined Britton & Koontz Investments as an investment consultant in its Vicksburg market. Britton & Koontz offers securities through SAL Financial Services Inc., an affiliate of Sterne, Agee and Leach in Birmingham, Ala. Smith’s office is at the B&K Medical Center Branch. She has been an NASD licensed broker since 2001 holding Series 6, 63 and 26 licenses; she recently earned her Series 7.

Smith attended Mississippi College and the University of Southern Mississippi. She has worked for the past five years at Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company, where she received promotions and professional designations as well as serving as NASD registrar supervising registered representatives and ensuring their compliance with federal and state transactional regulations.

She is married to Josh Smith, local Alfa insurance agent. The Smiths have two children and attend Highland Baptist Church. A gradu ate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez, Smith is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Norris Curry, formerly of Natchez.
