You’ve heard of five-star hotels and five-star resorts. Get ready for a five-star post office.
The Natchez Post Office recently earned a five-star rating as part of the postal service’s new Five-Star Customer Service Program.
Ratings are based on surveys by the Gallup Organization.
“We’ve always provided excellent service,” said Bill Farrior, postmaster. “Now we’ve got the stars to back it up.”
The Gallup Organization surveys USPS customers, asking them to rate local post offices on efficiency, accuracy of delivery, consistency of delivery and wait-time in line.
The Natchez Post Office received a significant increase in “excellent” ratings, earning the Five-Star Customer Service Award.
Customers entering the Natchez Post Office will know it, too. Each office earning Five-Star status receives a sign for the door, and all employees receive Five-Star lapel pins in recognition of the rating.
“We’re really honored to receive this rating,” Farrior said. “It shows that our customers value the excellent service the employees in this office provide.”
